• Use of basic laws when checking the operating condition of the machine (characteristic operating conditions)
• Knowledge of basic components and their functioning
• Assembly of the propulsion Assembly from the basic components
• Understanding the selection and control of components and composite assemblies.
Content (Syllabus outline)
Lectures
Classification of electrical equipment. Electric industrial equipment and electronic equipment.
Survey of electrical and electronic components and devices and corresponding electrical symbols.
Devices for storing electrical power.
Switching equipment. Low voltage switchgear devices.
Transformers, rectifiers and converters.
Supplying, control and protection of electromotor drives (control and switching equipment, short-circuit protection, overload protection and thermic protection of electromotors).
Electrical equipment of transport devices.
Realization of electrical connection and installation. Planning of switching schemes.
Electrical safety. European directives for health, safety and performance of electrical devices and equipment.
Practical and lab work
Deepening the theoretical skills by solving practical examples on tutorials and in the frame of seminar work. Acquisition of practical experiences on lab works with surwey of operation of particularal electrical and electronic devices substantiated by electrical measurements.
