Objectives and competences
In this course students:
- deepen their theoretical knowledge of project management,
- develop an understanding of the role of projects in the implementation of organizational strategies,
- develop the ability to analyse project management concepts and approaches,
- develop the ability to critically evaluate different project management approaches,
- develop an understanding of organizational and leadership aspects of project work,
- develop the ability to connect project management with other management disciplines,
- develop the ability to use professional and scientific literature,
- develop the ability for independent analytical thinking about project-related problems,
- develop the ability to make well-argued decisions in the project environment.

- definition and classification of projects and the role of projects in organizational development,
- project lifecycle and project success factors,
- phases of the project lifecycle,
- project planning (scope, time, resources, costs, risks),
- project organization and project-based organizational structures,
- project team leadership and development of project manager competences,
- risk and change management in projects,
- stakeholder management and project governance,
- information and digital support for project management,
- contemporary project management concepts (Agile, hybrid approaches),
- the role of digitalization and artificial intelligence in the project environment,
- sustainability, ethical and social aspects of projects,
- multiproject environments and project-oriented organizations,
- analysis of project management cases from practice,
- preparation of a project charter (start-up project documentation) based on a real-life example.
