Objectives and competences
International economic events play an increasingly important role in international politics. The International Political Economy is focused to the interaction between economy and international relations. Governments and other actors in international relations pursue their political and economic goals in tight interconnection. Students also analyze the contemporary and actual praxis in international economic relations.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
Student:
1. Has a deep and systematic understanding of knowledge in the field of international political economy and among related fields. (PILO 2b)
2. He can use theories and research in this field at work (understands scientific articles and knows how to apply them). (PILO 2a)
3. Is aware of ethical dilemmas and masters a proactive approach in finding solutions to these dilemmas in cooperation with others. (PILO 4a)
4. Can critically analyze complex, incomplete and conflicting areas of knowledge and can understandably explain the results of critical analysis in an international environment. (PILO 2c)
5. Can critically evaluate information, in a way that can be innovative and create useful value of knowledge or processes from the perspective of international practice. (PILO 3a)
6. Creates knowledge in the field of international relations, especially economic and political, which enables him to critically assess research, knowledge and methodological approaches and justify different (alternative) approaches. (PILO 1a)
