Objectives and competences
The course Strategic supply chain management enables students to gain an in-depth understanding of efficient management of resources (people, materials, technologies and systems) which are needed in production and trade of goods and services. Students develop competencies for independent research in the field of planning and management of flows (goods, information and services) between firms and their customers.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
1. Student will critically assess and deeply understand supply chain management. (PILO 2a)
2. Student will systematically identify and analyse logistic processes by integrating theoretical knowledge and practical examples. (PILO 1a, PILO 2a)
3. Student will develop the ability to perform in international supply chains. (PILO 2b, PILO 2c)
4. Student will master methodologies for independent research in the field of supply chain management, including critical analysis and synthesis of relevant information. (PILO 3a)
5. Student will effectively communicate international logistic strategies. (PILO 3b)
6. Student will apply acquired theoretical knowledge for practical engagement and solving specific challenges in supply chains. (PILO 3c)
7. Student will develop skills for independent work and leadership in solving short tasks in teams, improving communication and collaborative abilities. (PILO 3c)
8. Student will develop and demonstrate ethical decision-making in supply chain management. (PILO 4a)
9. Student will critically evaluate the impact of supply chains on environment and society. (PILO 4b)
The PILO label (i.e., Programme Intended Learning Outcomes) defines the contribution of each listed intended learning outcome of a course towards achieving the general and/or subject-specific competencies or learning outcomes acquired through the programme.
