Objectives and competences

The course Entrepreneurial Process enables students to gain an in-depth understanding of entrepreneurial processes and their impact on economic growth, as well as the development of skills for identifying and leveraging entrepreneurial opportunities. Students develop competencies for independent research in entrepreneurship, critical analysis of business opportunities, and practical engagement in entrepreneurial activities, with an emphasis on ethical decision-making and social responsibility.

Feasibility analysis 6. Developing an effective business model 7. Industry and competitor analysis 8. Resource acquisition and impacts of the environment 9. Assessing a new venture’s financial strength and viability 10. Building a new venture team and networks 11. Getting financing or funding 12. Managing and growing an entrepreneurial firm 13. Seminars and methodological work on selected research problems

Learning and teaching methods

Learning and teaching methods: - Interactive lectures with case analysis and group discussion. - Workshops and practical exercises based on case studies and real-life scenarios. - Seminars on working with databases in the computer lab and developing analytical skills. - Independent research and critical study of materials. - Practice of communication skills through presentations and company discussions. - Addressing ethics and social responsibility through case studies. - Addressing ethics and social responsibility through case studies.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Students in this course will: 1. Critically assess and deeply understand the entrepreneurial process and its impact on economic growth, utilizing advanced analytical methods. (PILO 2a) 2. Systematically identify, analyse, and exploit entrepreneurial opportunities by integrating theoretical knowledge and practical examples. (PILO 1a, PILO 2a) 3. Develop the ability to evaluate entrepreneurial strategies and the performance of economies at an international level using advanced research methods and global data. (PILO 2b, PILO 2c) 4. Master methodologies for independent research in entrepreneurship, including critical analysis and synthesis of relevant information. (PILO 3a) 5. Effectively communicate entrepreneurial ideas, strategies, and solutions. (PILO 3b) 6. Apply acquired theoretical knowledge for practical engagement and solving specific entrepreneurial challenges. (PILO 3c) 7. Develop skills for independent work and leadership in solving short tasks in teams, improving communication and collaborative abilities. (PILO 3c) 8. Plan, execute, and evaluate business models and strategies, using modern tools and techniques for testing and implementation. (PILO 2a, PILO 3a) 9. Develop and demonstrate ethical decision-making and a commitment to social responsibility in entrepreneurial initiatives. (PILO 4a) 10. Learn to critically evaluate the sustainable and social impact of entrepreneurial initiatives. (PILO 4b) The PILO label (i.e., Programme Intended Learning Outcomes) defines the contribution of each listed intended learning outcome of a course towards achieving the general and/or subject-specific competencies or learning outcomes acquired through the programme.
