Objectives and competences

Students: 1. Enhance their theoretical knowledge in the field of finance, accounting as well as management. 2. Autonomously apply theoretical knowledge and global best practice to solve business finance issues in internationalised companies. 3. Acquire a holistic and sceptical approach to explore financial challenges in various globalised business models. 4. Use advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of business finance, and contemplate challenging links with ethical behaviour and team work in culturally diverse environments.

Students: 1. Acquire detailed theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of business finance. 2. Interpret financial results in broader socio-economic, ethical and environmental context. 3. Analyse, synthesise and forecast key financial parameters on micro and macro level in the global economy. 4. Monitor and supervise the information, decision and execution processes within an internationalised company.

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

Cognitive/Intellectual skills: Students: 1. Understand and critically apply professional standards for problem solving, with minimum guidance. 2. Develop the awareness of lifelong learning necessity based on both domestic and foreign literature as well as best practice. 3. Consciously choose adequate methods to solve problem and evaluate the limitations in methodology and data used. 4. Identify key aspects of a problem and optimise the solution from broader soci-economic, ethical and environmental point of view. Key/Transferable skills Students: 1. Develop skills, expertise and awareness for proper usage of professional interdisciplinary knowledge in culturally diverse world. 2. Upgrade the ability to work in diverse teams and efficiently apply information technology. 3. Improve written and verbal communication skills for passionate and efficient professional communication. Practical skills: Students: 1. Receive practical experience in business finance for an internationalised company. 2. Act autonomously with leader’s advice and certain level of supervision.
