Objectives and competences
In this course students:
1. Enhance specific knowledge in the field of the EU legal regulation.
2. Recognize development of European integrations.
3. Gain the ability to apply their theoretical knowledge (legislation) in practical cases.
4. Acquire approach to analysis the elements of EU single market.
Content (Syllabus outline)
1. EU legal order
- characteristics, comparison with the national legal order,
- basic principles,
- legal sources (hierarchy of legal sources, different types of legal sources, affects)
- .
- 2.EU legislation (division of competences between the EU and its member countries, legislative procedures, the role of national parliaments)
3. EU institutions (structure, authorities, operating and decision making process
4. Single market
- development of European integrations,
- common characteristics of economic freedoms,
- non-discrimination,
- economic freedoms (free movement of goods, persons, services and capital),
- protection of competition in single market.

3. Are able to distinguish between different EU legal sources and to select the most appropriate for solving some problem.
