Objectives and competences

The objective of this course is to give practical knowledge on consecutive and simultaneous interpreting from gaining an offer, interpreting preparation and interpreting.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Presentation of interpreting work in important international institutions. Simulated conferences. Interpreting. End evaluation.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

• student knows how to contact translation agencies, state institutions and international organizations; • student knows how to prepare for interpreting; • student knows how to interpret texts at an advanced level; • student knows how to work in interpreting booths; • students know and understand the standards applicable to the provision of translation services and the standards of professional ethics
