Listed optional courses are taught in the summer semester of the second year. At the beginning of the second year, each student selects one project, which assigns them four optional courses from the set of professional computer courses I.

Listed optional courses are taught in the winter semester of the third year. At the beginning of the third year, each student chooses one project, which also determines four optional courses from the set of professional computer courses II. For the Elective Mathematical Unit, students can also choose any mathematical unit from first-cycle academic higher education programmes at UM FERI, other UM member institutions or other universities, with a total value of at least 6 ECTS credits. For Elective Units IX students can choose a unit from the selection offered for Elective Units IX or project unit from another non-selected project with a total value of at least 6 ECTS credits. For Free Elective Units students can choose a unit from the selection offered for Elective Units IX, a project unit from another non-selected project, or any unit from those offered programmes at UM FERI, other UM member institutions or other universities, with a total value of at least 6 ECTS credits.
