Optional courses I, II, III, IV are taught in the summer semester of the first year. At the beginning of their studies, each student chooses a project that assigns them four optional courses.

Optional courses V, VI, VII, VIII are taught in the winter semester of the second year. At the beginning of their studies, each student chooses a project that assigns them four optional courses. As the optional course IX, the student may choose a project course from another unselected project. For the Free Elective Unit, students can choose a unit from the selection offered for Free Elective Units or any other unit from programmes at UM FERI, other UM member institutions or other universities, with a total value of at least 6 ECTS credits.
