Objectives and competences
? Create a disposition of doctoral dissertation which includes proposal of: research goals, hypothesis, data collecting method, data processing methods, results interpretation and hypothesis testing.
Candidate through the creation of the disposition achieves competences:
? for independent (individual, group) theoretically grounded detailed research of a selected economic/business problem;
? for methodologically grounded implementation of a research;
? to develop competences for theoretically and empirically based research;
? to develop competences for independent research and information search;
? to develop capability for independent use of acquired knowledge for problem solving in complex business problems;
? to develop competences for independent analysis and search theoretically grounded solutions for professional problems;
? to develop capability for a reasoned discussion and persuasion of professional publics;
? to develop capability for publishing research results.

Results of course IRD 3 are:
1. Completed doctoral dissertation proposal submitted for evaluation.
2. Knowledge and Understanding competences:
? capability to use scientific methods in research;
? mastering of systematic information (sources) search;
? mastering of professional writing techniques;
? capability for searching appropriate solutions for research problems;
? developing a holistic view of complex economic and business phenomena;
? capability of critical situation assessment, problem analysis and solution synthesis;

? capability of a reasoned discussion and defense of own views.

Additional information on implementation and assessment The candidate pass IRD3 when a working mentor approves the proposal disposition of doctoral dissertation and the candidate submits the disposition to the Office for doctoral studies at FEB for approval process.
IRD 3 will be assessed with "passed" or "not passed". 100%
