Objectives and competences
Students will: acquire basic information and knowledge about a person, her needs, characteristics, abilities, etc., get to know basic definitions and foundations of safety and health as one of the basic human rights and get knowledge of human and psychological factors for ensuring health and safety at work, learn about the fundamentals of management and the safety and health culture at the workplace, as well as the legal basis for safety and health at work. They will learn about the field of ergonomics and occupational medicine and will also learn how to design a health promotion program.
Students will understand the dimensions of the management of health and wellbeing and will develop in-depth knowledge of methods and techniques of planning, training, health and well-being. They will be able to analyze individual activities and compare and identify best practices in these areas. They will be able to explore different models and aspects of the management of health and well-being, use information resources, and participate in groups. Students will be able to prepare and carry out research in the field of individual Health and Wellbeing Management as a case study or field research.
