Objectives and competences

Students understand the content and methodology of management concepts in practice. They are trained to design management concepts in business practice.

Content (Syllabus outline)

- Importance of management concepts - Research approach to analysis of known management concepts - Analisys of management concepts based on student's pracitcal effects - Designing of practical management model - EU and Slovenian experiences introducing management concepts into practice - Critical analysis of effects of management concpets in business

Learning and teaching methods

- Lectures - Guided classes (practical examples and illustrations in the field) - Case studies - Individual consultants with the professor - Active individual and group work

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

1. The student knows and understands a wide range of methods, techniques and models of management concepts (PILO 1a). 2. The student has a in-depth and systematic understanding of management concepts. Can use various management theories to create management models. (FILE 2a). 3. The student is able to solve various problem situations related to the peculiarities of management models (PILO 3a). 4. The student can explain certain management solutions (PILO 3b). 5. The student is able to ensure teamwork when creating management models (PILO 3c). 6. The student demonstrates independence in designing and implementing manageement solutions in entrepreneurial practice (PILO 4a). 7. The student is able to judge manageement solutions from an ethical and professional perspective (PILO 4c). The PILO label (i.e., Programme Intended Learning Outcomes) defines the contribution of each listed intended learning outcome of a course towards achieving the general and/or subject-specific competencies or learning outcomes acquired through the programme.
