Objectives and competences

The course focuses on understanding strategic human resource management, emphasizing its crucial role in achieving a company's strategic goals through the analysis of HR strategy models, evaluation of influencing factors, and definition of international aspects in this context. By studying these elements, students develop the ability to analyze and formulate human resource strategies, enabling further independent education and training in the field of strategic human resource management.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

In this course students: 1. Students will use general content and methodological knowledge about newer approaches to addressing HR development issues (PILO 1a), 2. Students will use general and specific knowledge to explain different approaches to human resource development in companies (PILO 2a), 3. Students will use new knowledge in the field of human resource development to address contemporary organizational issues (PILO 3a), 4. Students will use knowledge and skills for independent and innovative resolution of practical problems in the field of human resource development (PILO 3a, PILO 4a), 5. Students will use knowledge and skills for complex analysis and critical assessment of individual HR development solutions, their application in practice and comprehensive presentation their results (PILO 2c, PILO 6. Students will use knowledge and skills to organize independent work and work in a group (as a leader or member) and appropriate communication skills to effectively present the results of their work (PILO 3c), 7. Students will use knowledge and skills to understand the use of digitalization, automation, robotization and artificial intelligence and critically assess the results of their use in practice (PILO 3a), and 8. Students will use knowledge and skills to ethically, socially responsible and sustainably solve practical problems in the field of sustainable development (PILO 4b, PILO 4c). The PILO label (i.e., Programme Intended Learning Outcomes) defines the contribution of each listed intended learning outcome of a course towards achieving the general and/or subject-specific competencies or learning outcomes acquired through the programme.
