Objectives and competences

Main attention is devoted to coordination and efficient management of resources (people, materials, technologies and systems) which are needed in production and trade of goods and services. This includes understanding and development of processes, tactical and strategic planning, assessment of business results and implementation of corrective mesaures for business results improvement. Supply chain management usually incorporates purchasing, materials management and logistics. Students will attain knowledge on planning and management of flows (goods, information and services) between firms and their customers.

Knowledge and Understanding: • students will attain ability to solve complex business problems; • students will learn about tools for analysis and improvement of business processes which can be used to improve customer satisfaction in business results; • students will be capable of wholistic management of business functions on strategic level.

Transferable/Key Skills and other attributes: • capability of using strategic logistics concepts in global environment; • capability of organising efficient operations in different macrologistics enviroments.
