Objectives and competences

The main objective is to elaborate different viewpoints of strategic issues connceted with IS/IT enabled transformation of organizations. It further explains paradigms and models of strategic information systems and concepts of business value of information systems. The objective is also to present and to discuss good practice within cases connected to the topic. Transferable/Key Skills and other attributes: Information systems issues use within strategic management.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Course consist of following topics: pradigms of strategic IS/IT issues, theories of strategic information systems, IT/IS enabled organizational transformation, e-business models, e-models of business processes, e-services models, e-banking, e-insurance, e-commerce, development of e-organizations, case analysis, digital transformation frameworks . Seminar on functionalities and practical use of Visio and Aris (or related tools).

Knowledge and Understanding: Detailed and advanced understanding of stratgic issues of information systems with focus in their impacts ob business and organizational transformation.
