Objectives and competences

In this course students: 1. Get the basic grasp of economic theories and economics with an emphasis on microeconomics 2. Are familiarised with the applicability of different theories of economics 3. Are familiarised with elements of economics and microeconomics and are aware of interdependence between them 4. Are familiarised with and grasp the basic concepts of economic theories and microeconomics 5. Learn to write, think and express themselves accurately in the field of economics with an emphasis on microeconomics 6. Acquire fundamental knowledge of economics, economic theories and microeconomics 7. Are familiarised with the importance of economics, economic theories and microeconomics 8. Gain the ability to economics, economic theories and microeconomics

Students: 1. Understand basic concepts of economics, economic theories and microeconomics 2. Learn to use (apply) economic theories and microeconomics in solving business problems. 3. Recognize basic characteristics of economics and microeconomics 4. Can demonstrate awareness of ethical issues in the field of economics, economic theories and microeconomics 5. Are able to discuss ethical issues in relation to personal beliefs and values.
