Objectives and competences
In this course students:
- They are familiar with a historical overview of purchasing terminology
- Acquire a basic knowledge of the purchasing process and purchasing decisions
- Familiarise themselves with the roles of the supply base
- Acquire a basic knowledge of supplier selection and the purchasing organisation
- Learn about the global purchasing (sourcing) process
- Learn about public purchasing (procurement)
- Gain basic knowledge of supplier relationship development, supplier evaluation and certification, supplier development and supplier relationship management
