Objectives and competences

In this course, students: 1. Systematically enhance theoretical knowledge in the field of sustainable digital transformation, technological platforms for organizational digitization, the information architecture of digitized organizations, business information solutions (ERP, CRM), e-commerce solutions, and digital marketing tools with a focus on sustainable development. 2. Acquire the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in complex concrete cases in implementing ERP and CRM solutions, e-commerce models, and digital marketing tools. 3. Critically employ implementation approaches when examining ERP and CRM solutions, e-commerce models, and digital marketing. 4. Based on solid theoretical foundations, perform critical assessments of websites, portals, and digital marketing tools.

Content (Syllabus outline)

The course consists of the following topics: - Digital transformation and sustainable development - Information Technologies for sustainable development - Sustainability aspects of digitization in organizations - Technological Platforms for organizational digitization - The information architecture of digitized organizations - Business information solutions for supporting operational processes in organizations (ERP) - Business information solutions for supporting customer-oriented processes (CRM) - E-commerce models (B2B, B2C, B2G) - E-commerce information solutions (websites and portals, electronic marketplaces, electronic exchange of business documents, online stores and marketplaces, etc.) - Digital marketing solutions - Trends in e-commerce - E-commerce security - Integration of business information solutions with e-commerce solutions - Using artificial intelligence in e-business - Example of an ERP solution - Microsoft Dynamics BC and SAP ERP Simulation Game Logistics Sustainability Game - Example of an e-commerce and digital marketing solution - Odoo

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Development of knowledge and understanding: Students: 1. Understand the importance of sustainable digital transformation, technological platforms for organizational digitization, and the information architecture of digitized organizations. 2. Acquire comprehensive knowledge in the area of ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and digital marketing solutions in relation to sustainable development. 3. Have detailed knowledge of theories in implementing ERP, CRM, e-business and digital marketing solutions. 4. Are able to explain interconnection in the field of ERP, CRM, e-business and digital marketing solutions. 5. Develop the ability to critically evaluate ERP solutions, CRM solutions, websites/portals, and digital marketing tools in relation to sustainable development. 6. Learn how to analyze and synthesize different approaches in implementing ERP solutions and e-business models with changing conditions. 7. Are able to upgrade and planning of research in the field of implementing ERP solutions, CRM solutions, e-business solutions, and digital marketing solutions. 8. Are aware of their own ethical and professional responsibilities in implementing ERP solutions, CRM solutions, e-commerce models, and digital marketing tools. 9. Are able to demonstrate a critical ethical dimension in their work.

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

Cognitive/Intellectual skills: Students: 1. Without guidance, understand and apply critical analysis and theory development and their usability in solving real and abstract professional problems. 2. Get the ability to search for and synthesize new information in sustainable digital transformation, ERP solutions, CRM solutions, e-commerce models, and digital marketing tools from literature and practice and contextualize them within the appropriate professional framework. 3. Can select appropriate techniques for complex problem solving and are able to evaluate the reliability, validity and significance of results gained. 4. Can identify key aspects of problems from different viewpoints and are able to find solutions. 5. Can investigate contradictory information and reasons for this. Key/Transferable skills Students: 1. Further, develop skills and expertise in the use of knowledge in a specific working area. 2. Upgrade the ability to become an autonomous learner. 3. Upgrade the ability to apply information technology. 4. Upgrade the ability for teamwork and team leadership. 5. Upgrade knowledge in the field of sustainable development. 6. Further, effectively develop their communication skills to solve conflicts effectively. 7. Can identify key aspects of problems from different viewpoints and can find solutions. 8. Are efficient in self-evaluation. 9. Can select and manage information with minimal guidelines. Practical skills: Student: 1. Get practical experience in using the ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics NAV BC and the SAP ERP Simulation Game Logistics Sustainability Game (functionalities used to measure sustainable development within an organization), the Odoo solution (CRM and digital marketing), and the Microsoft Expression WebWix tool (website). 2. Can act autonomously with minimal guidelines and supervision.
