Objectives and competences
In this course students:
1. Are provided with basic knowledge regarding the tourism sector (the supply side view) as well as on travel (demand side view).
2. Will gain the elementary understanding of tourism’s importance within the national economy.
3. Are able to apply theoretical knowledge with particular emphasis on economic, socio-psychological and environmental effects of tourism activities.

Students:
1. Understanding of interactions among components of tourism industry (tourism supply).

4. Demonstrate an understanding of sociological, environmental and economic impacts of tourism development on the community / region.
