Objectives and competences

The objectives and competencies of the course are for students to understand the basics, and to apply the acquired knowledge to: -The ability to solve and plan efficient systems in energy management and engineering. - Knowledge for carry out of state exam of energy performance certificate. -Basic construction knowledge of development of products and new innovative products.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Introduction part with definition of energy management and engineering. • Calculated and meausured energy performance certificate • Fundamentals of energy audit • Heating systems. Radiator heating, floor heating, wall heating, district heating. • Basic calculation of central heating. • Quality of air and living. • Basi of timber buiding contruction • Energy project management, a guide to successful work processes. • Basic of planning and development of product • Pressure vesels and pipelines elements • Basic of supply systems

Learning and teaching methods

Lectures: the student gets acquainted with theoretical content of the subject. Tutorial: the student upgrades the theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to use the knowledge on the field of energy management and engineering, with special regard at: • Energy performance certificates • Selection of heating and cooling systems • Product formation and development, with special regard at product innovation • Fitness for purpose material selection • Fabrication of transporters ESCO knowledge: - Application of heating systems and their contribution to energy efficiency. - To read the measure equipment which take down the heating energy and keep the record of results, correctly. - To manage the heating system equipment. - Testing, properties and usage of materials for formation of new products. - Adjustment of product design or products parts, regarding to meet demands. -
