Objectives and competences
The project is a written document by means of which the student proves his ability to solve engineering problems by using the theoretical knowledge and in his practical experiences. In the project the student also presents the ability to choose and use his national and foreign professional literature and additional sources in order to solve the chosen problem.
Content (Syllabus outline)
With the Project basic, professional and practical knowledge of the study programme are linked together. It offers the possibility for the student to integrate knowledge with the goal to acquire practical experiences. The project include summary, survey of the scientific literature, research hypothesis, proposition for the solution of the problem, analysis of the results and conclusion.
Learning and teaching methods
The content and the structural aspect of the project is monitored by tutor during his consultations.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
On completion of the project the student will be able to
• Gain the competence sufficient to solve engineering problems,
• clearly and briefly present the results of his work,
• present the knowledge of the broader professional field to which belongs the thesis and special knowledge of the glossary concerned by the project. The emphasis is on the practical skills and relatively more simple methodologies of collecting, processing and presenting data.
Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes
• Documenting and expressing the subject in a professional way, mastering the solving of the professional problems, independent presentation of the key conclusions and ability in arguing

Prerequisits
The student can apply for the project offered by the lecturers. Based on the agreement with the lecturer the project can also be proposed by the student.
