Objectives and competences

Students: - get to know the prevalence, characteristics and importance of soil, flora and fauna around the world and in Slovenia; - understand the importance of the living part of nature for humanity; - be trained in field exploration, data collection, analysis, synthesis and interpretation.

- lectures, - seminary work, - field work.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Students: - are able to analyze the natural components of the landscape as inextricably linked and interdependent parts, especially from a human point of view; - be able to connect local, regional and global characteristics of soil, flora and fauna and their importance for sustainable landscape development;

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

- know the location of natural resources, - are aware of the importance of natural resources for humanity, - are trained for field work and solving current challenges
