Objectives and competences
The aim of this subject is to
• qualify students for an appropriate usage and analysis of German as contents and medium of communication
• develop oral skills and capabilities of interpersonal communication and appearance in public
Content (Syllabus outline)
• conception of characteristics of selected oral text sorts
• oral text formation (report, narration, interpretation, discussion, description and other forms)
• conception of non-linguistic factors and their usage and analysis in oral communication and appearance
• treatment of linguistic media, characteristic for selected text sorts
• developing the skills of multimedia communication

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
On completion of this media course students will:
• be able to speak and communicate in a suitable comprehensive, linguistic and situational way
• conceive and form selected oral text sorts (he/she will report, narrate, interpret, discuss, describe…)
• correctly use, analyze and evaluate language media and suitable vocabulary in oral communication and appearance in public
Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes
• ability to use up-to-date sources of information and technology,
• communications skills (to express in speech and in writting),
• ability to become an autonomous learner,
• ability to independently develop research strategies and problem solving techniques,
• ability to analyze and bring together ideas.
