Objectives and competences

• Student understands multimedia and hypermedia systems • Apply multimedia and hypermedia in educational purposes • Evaluate different types of application of multimedia in educational purposes • Create multimedia materials and use them in practice.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Technological background of ICT (information and communication technology): • terms • classification of ICT Audio and video systems - technical and didactical characteristics Application of computer in education and educational information systems: • strategies of application of computer in education • e-learning material: types, forms and standards • design of e-learning materials Application of computer in multimedia and hypermedia systems: • computer and periferals, • communication theory basics and computer networks Multimedia applications: • electronic communication • streaming media • distance education • virtual reality • resource management and planning for multimedia in education. • AI and multimedia Software: • software for text, image, sound and video processing • multimedia development tools
