Objectives and competences

Students will: The objective of the course is to acquaint students with the development of supervision, basic concepts of supervision, ethical premise, differentiation between various support, the specifics of influencing the supervisory process, the characteristics of supervision in the field of education and the basic rules of operation and the effect of supervision.

Historical overwiev of the development of supervision Differences between counseling, psychotherapy and supervision Definition supervisor, supervisant, supervisory process and supervisory relationship Development and competence of the supervisor Basic ethical premises of the supervisor Conditions for implementation supervision Types and models of supervision Phases of the supervisory process Transfer and countertransfer in supervision Parallel processes in supervision Supervision for teachers and counselors The influence of supervision on stress and occupational burnout in pedagogical workers

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Knowledge and Understanding: On completion of this course the student will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of: • the placement of supervision in the context of help to pedagogical workers • about the concepts, the operation and the effect of supervision • fundamental dynamics and influences in the supervisory process • reflection of one's own and another part • research and study work in practice
