Objectives and competences
Student has to informed about progress and main crisis situations in western, north, middle, east and southeast Europe of that time. In connection with the political review he draws attention on the exploitation of religious contrasts for state and personal intentions
Achievements in science and art, inventions and the rise of production round up the total view over the period and introduce it as a birth of modern European civilization.

Lectures, seminar, individual study, discussion. The information and communications technology is used for educational purposes in the teaching and learning process.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
Student becomes acquainted with important occurences, processes and changes in the period of modern period. Knowledge of the modern period European history, helps student to analyze the most important developmental processes of that time and also the events and their consequences are evident to him.
