Objectives and competences
The aim of this subject is to
• develop students' writing skills at C1/C2 level of The Common EU Framework,
• enable students to become efficient and flexible users of the German language,
• enable students to produce adequately structured writen correspondence suitable to different text types,
• enable students to formulate and express their thoughts and opinions on different topics accurately.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• Expanding basic knowledge of text types
• Cohesive devices: dealing with different cohesive devices for the formation of a coherent text, coherent writing of a sequel, text reconstruction on the basis of extracts,
• Linguistic means: dealing with specific linguistic means in individual text types,
• Production of texts: writing demanding texts, variation of vocabulary and style according to the addressee, text type and topic,
• Transformation of texts: transformation of text types, reasonable shortening of pragmatic texts, short abstracts (contents) of literary texts,

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
• know and recognise the characteristcs of different text types,
• use the appropriate linguistic means according to the text type, addressee and topic,
• know how to write, analyse and evaluate coherent texts of different types accurately,
• be able to demonstrate the knowledge of the language (writing skills) at C1/C2 level.
