Objectives and competences
The students get acquainted with the theory of foreign language learning; they learn to make a teaching plan for a whole year, develop their competencies in adapting their teaching to the target group and the actual circumstances; they develop their competences to analize and critically (self)evaluate foreign language teaching and suitable teaching materials .
Content (Syllabus outline)
- characteristic development of the different levels of comunication skills in German as a foreign language (visual, listening, reading, speaking and writing skills);
- classification of exercises;
- characteristic of acquiring and teaching elements of the foreign language system on all levels and in all forms of appearance (vocabulary, grammar, pragmatic structures and so on);
Planning the foreign language lessons on macro and micro level.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
- student knows typical exercise categorizations;
- knows and is able to develop the language skills of the students
- understands the structure of foreign language lessons (German), is able to plan and execute these;
- knows and is able to prepare macro and micro teaching plans.
Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes
Students are able to analize teaching and learning materials according to acknowledged classifications and the language skills of the target group;
- plan and adapt learning and teaching German as a foreign language to the teaching and learning goals and the actual circumstances.
