Objectives and competences

The objectives of this subject are: - to qualify the students for understanding of option and laboratory procedures and measurements, and to use them meaningfully in shool, - know how to use option methods in geography classes to be able to make outdoor classrooms in order to achieve lasting knowledge

Content (Syllabus outline)

1. Research methods in physical geography. 2. Slovenian as educational region. 3. How do we make a classroom in nature 4. Innovative approaches for outdoor education 5. Examples of good practice examples and their analysis

Learning and teaching methods

- Lectures, - problem solving, - experimental work - field work.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

-basic facts and definitions of option in lesson of geography - knowledge about news of research filed work - knowledge about analytical methods and their application in school.

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

The students should be able to interpret the data, and to identify and solve problems in the landscape.
