Objectives and competences

Identify and comprehension the role and the meaning of reinforced concrete structural elements design (beams, slabs and columns) in accordance with Eurocode 2. Comprehension of basics of masonry structures.

Content (Syllabus outline)

Course provides knowledge of conceptional design, structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures and brief knowledge of masonry structures.

Learning and teaching methods

Classical lectures, lectures using Power Point presentations, use of computer programme for structural design, solve computational problems, excursion

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Comprehension of structural analysis and design of single reinforced concrete structural elements. Use of structural analysis and design of simple single reinforced concrete structural elements. Comprehension of basics of masonry structures
