Objectives and competences

The objective of this course is to give students theoretical knowledge about the role of physical activity in healthy lifestyle and practical skills to engage in various kinds of sports. The student will demonstrate and perform various sports activities

• Značilnosti sodobnega športa • Biopsihosocialne razsežnosti športa • Praktične in teoretične osnove različnih športnih zvrsti – šport za vse • Osnove načrtovanja športne vadbe • Šport za zdravje, dobro počutje, aktiven življenjski slog in kakovost življenja • Regeneracija telesa po naporu • Pomen gibalne dejavnosti za psihično razbremenitev in zmanjšanje posledic stresa • Pomen gibalne aktivnosti za vseživljenjski razvoj • Doživljajski vidik športa • Izboljšanje športnih zmogljivosti in znanj • Characteristics of Contemporary Sport • Biopsychosocial Dimensions of Sport • Practical and theoretical bases of various sports disciplines - sport for all • Planning of sports exercise • Sport for Health, Well-Being, Active Lifestyle, Quality of Life • Regeneration of the body after physical exertion • The role of physical activity for mental health and reduce the effects of stress • Role of Physical Activity for lifelong Development • Experience Aspects of Physical Education • Enhancing Sports Abilities and Skills

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

On completion of this course the student will be able to: • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic theoretical and practical concepts in various sports disciplines • apply the acquired knowledge for regular sports recreation • show ability for planning sports activities and for enhancing sports abilities • Analyze and evaluate your own fitness • demonstrate understanding of sport activity for health and quality of life
