Objectives and competences

to get acquainted with the basic characteristics of complex planning of urban-architectural tasks; - understand the need for sustainable solutions in the field of urban development planning; - to be able to integrate knowledge in the field of urbanism, building typologies and architectural planning in the domain of a sustainable city; - to be able to independently and creatively solve complex planning tasks of interdisciplinary projects

Content (Syllabus outline)

Lectures: - Sustainable city planning: starting points and reference examples 1. - sustainable city planning: planning principles; 2. - Integrated urban architectural design with sustainable methods. Seminar and project work: - Solving a current spatial architectural task on a specific topic (each year a new topic and a new location are selected). Seminar: - Research and preparation for project work on the basis of the given content of the seminar paper (research in the field of urban and architectural theory, study of reference cases, obtaining legislation and planning norms) 1. Space analysis - Conceptual spatial design (in two variants) with a choice of architectural typologies and open space design / urbanism (1: 5000, 1: 1000) / architecture (1: 500) - Critique 1: Public presentation of spatial design - Project solution (in the selected variant): urbanism (1: 1000 - 1: 500) and architecture (1: 200, 1: 100, scale model 1: 1000 and 3d views - Critique 2: Public presentation of architectural design - Synthetic solution: urban architectural design of the task (2 - 3 panels: conceptual starting points, spatial analysis, content sets of the task, sustainable elements, urban design (1: 1000-1: 500), architectural design (1: 500 to 1: 100) , facade strip (1:50), 1: 1000 or 1: 500 scale model, 3d views).

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

- uporabljati ključne elemente načrtovanja trajnostnega mesta v različnih merilih ( (M 1: 1000, 1: 500, 1: 200, 1: 100, detajl..) - slediti principom trajnostnega prostorskega načrtovanja pri prostorski zasnovi projekta arhitekture - izdelovanje idejnih zasnov ( samostojno projektiranje - izbrati optimalno metodologijo za načrtovanje urbanistično arhitekturnega projekta na nivoju trajnostne urbane strukture. - integrirati arhitekturne tipologije v urbani prostor - integrirati znanje v prakso.

- independent architectural urban planning at the level of Conceptual Design - the knack of communication in a team and in public, - interdisciplinary way of work in a project team
