Objectives and competences
The aim of the course is to gain the knowledge and skills to develop the design solution of the problem or task in the field of spatial/urban planning with emphasis on architectural design and creative professional approach; obtain the standards of the appropriate technical presentation for the problem solving, based on the acquired knowledge on relevant contents in the framework of Bachelor Architecture Program.
Content (Syllabus outline)
The subject requires the ability of complex approach to the concrete specific spatial, urban, and architectural problem or task in a real space and time. The project development follows the seminar process. The theoretical and practical approaches to acquiring appropriate knowledge and skills include the development of spatial planning, urban planning and architectural design at different levels and in steps of architectural drawings.
Learning and teaching methods
Thematic seminar; a teamwork approach to solving of spatial problematics; individual work on a specific design solution.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
- identify the approaches to solving medium-complex problems in the fields of spatial and urban planning, and architectural design;
- evaluate the optimal technical/design solutions;
- demonstrate the ability to solve diverse spatial, technical and design challenges in a complex way;
Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes
- to demonstrates the obtained knowledge of the autonomous approach to design a creative product, at appropriate technical level;
- present the design solutions in front of the auditorium;
- develop the ability to collaborate and communicate as a teamwork at different levels and scales of the design process

Prerequisits
The project requires fundamental and specific knowledge acquired in the Bachelor study programme of Architecture; prior to the submission and defense of the final project all the obligations related to the subjects of the first year, as well as to the subjects Architectural Elements 2, Studio I, II Studio and Studio III have to be fulfilled.
Additional information on implementation and assessment Project work:
The final assessment incorporates the aspects of the development of comprehensive design solution, documented in architectural drawings with a description presented in appropriate technics, and final group and individual presentation in front of a critical auditorium.
