drafting of marketing concept in agriculture and active cooperation with the media within promotion in agriculture
ability to organize trade fair events
Content (Syllabus outline)
system analysis of the agricultural and food sector with basics of modeling economic systems, agro-food - an expanded basis of economics, organization and decision-making in companies, overview of microeconomic concepts of agri-food (production, consumption, efficiency)
marketing of agricultural and food products and the marketing mix (4P) characteristics/features, planning and analysis of marketing opportunities, systems and designations of quality and origin in the EU agri-food sector, segmentation of the market, non-verbal communication and influences on purchasing decisions

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
Knowledge and understanding:
Students
• know the types of costs in agriculture in detail and prepare examples of production cost calculations,
• interpret the cost calculations for various agricultural sectors through the calculations' catalog of the Chamber of agruculture,
• interpret calculations of the financial result (revenues, expenses) at farm level,
• assess ,with benchmarking, the strengths and weaknesses of promotional plans for analyzed business ideas,
• and play the roles of the organizer, participant, visitor and journalist at the fair event.
