Objectives and competences

1. Use, analysis and evaluation of scientific resources. 2. Design a research with the importance of ethics in the research. 3. Analyse and evaluate text in light of plagiarism. 4. Develop ability to properly cite literarture. 5. To develop ability of a written and oral presentation of the scientific problems and results.

Content (Syllabus outline)

1. Communication of scientific results: oral communication at the conferencies, journal papers 2. Scientific sources: books, scientific papers, bibliographical databases and services (Web of Science, ProQuest, Science Direct, Google Scholar, SICRIS) 3. Publication quality (JCR, Impact factor, objective reviews, University of Maribor criteria) 4. Ethical aspects of research 5. Ethical codex of research 6. Plagiarism 7. Writing of scientific papers 8. Dissemination of research results 9. Oral presentation of scientific ideas and research

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

• Evaluate research results and publications. • Use bibliographic databases and systems for evaluation of publications (WoS, Scopus, SICRIS). • Design an ethical research. • Evaluate contribution of an autor to a specific research and/or publication. • Identify and judge plagiarism. • Written and oral presentation of the research. • Search through bibliographical databases and evaluate gathered literature
