Objectives and competences

Student will: • achieve methodological knowledge of project work area, • understand relationships between different project groups of participants, • know possibilities of projects including of their implementation to a business system, • know methods and techniques that enable managing project, • know program tools, with which is possible to support project management

Content (Syllabus outline)

- project definition, - project management knowledge areas, - projects including to business system, - project organization and roles, - project leading and project teams, - project management processes, - network planning technique, - project documentation and project information system, - use of computer tools for project management processes support, - use of computer tools for network planning support

Learning and teaching methods

- lectures - exercises supported by information and communication technology - distance learning - student’s self-dependent work - preparing and presentation of initialization, concept and plan of project

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Knowledge and understanding: At the end of the course students will be able to: • express the differences between projects and other business processes, • distinguish between different types of projects and describe their specificities, • apply the knowledge needed for participation in project teams, • apply the knowledge needed to organize project work in a company or institution • practice project preparation • practice projects project management • use computer tools for project support
