Objectives and competences

Objectives: 1. students will understand the importance of work and the nature and regulation of the labour market, 2. students will be able to identify employment, 3. students will understand the staffinfg process in the broader and narrower sense of the word, 4. students will gain the ability to use individual employment activities, 5. students will be able to use individual staffing methods and techniques.

Content (Syllabus outline)

- work, - career guidance, - labour market, - mpacts of the environment on the employment process, - staffing process, - human resource planning -human resource recruitment, -human resource selection, - new employee orientation, -human resource development, -termination of the employment relationship

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

Knowledge and understanding: • students will be able to describe the nature of work and to explain the functioning of the labour market, • students will be able to identify problems in the field of employment, • knowledge and understanding of impacts of the environment on the employment process, • students will be able to interpret data from labor market portals, • students will be able to identify and describe individual activities in the staffing process, • students will be able to distinguish between the strengths and weaknesses of internal and external resources of recruitment, • students will be able to choose appropriate methods and techniques of staffing • students will be able to solve problems in the field of employment.

-capacity assessment of internal or of external sources of recruitment -use appropriate methods and techniques for successful employment process
