Objectives and competences
Student will:
• know basic terms in the area of organisation and management,
• acquire knowledge on individual theories regarding interpretation, organisation and management,
• get to know the scope of organisation and organising,
• learn and get an insight into the comprehension of legalities in the operation and development of organizations and management,
• get to know the scope of individual management functions and its tools and
• get insight in the latest issues regarding organisation and management.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• basic terms in the field of organization and management;
• an overview of organization and management theory (comparison between particular theorys with a stress on the representation of various factors of efficiency and effectivness of an organization);
• contemporary organizational and management theories;
• segments of organization (the nature of organizational structures, existing forms of organizational structures, process-oriented organization, organizational culture, analyzing and creating organization, modifying organization with a stress on an in-depth representation of mutual connections between empirical researches and legalities in the operation of organizations);
• topics from management (management functions, planning, strategy formulation and implementation, the nature of leadership, organizing and change management, management control, management and ethics with a stress on the introduction of individual manager models and instruments which were created on the basis of empirical researches);

• lecture and directed discussion;
• presentation of examples and their analysis and forming suggestions for improvements;
