Objectives and competences
Student will:
1. achieve deep understanding of the scope and role of physical asset management (PAM),
2. understand the asset life cycle management,
3. know the principles of PAM,
4. Understand the techniques and principles of organisation, planning and managing of the PAM.,
5. Understand the benefits (financial and non-financial) of a proper PAM system,
6. Understand the integration of PAM and investment activities.

2. Basic of standardization and standards in the field of physical asset management,
3. Physical asset management processes,
4. Basics of risk management,
5. Contemporary maintenance concepts,
6. Maintenance and asset management information system (CMMS, AMS, MDSS),
7. Life cycle of physical assets,
8. Life cycle costs of physical assets,
9. Investment decision making in asset management,
10. Asset performance measurement,
11. Continuous physical asset management process improvement.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
• analyze the PAM processes and system,
• define and explain different maintenance approaches,
• develop PAM strategy and plans,
• analyze of PAM practices on productivity and effectiveness of an organisation
• organize and plan PAM activities as well as to conduct performance evaluation of PAM.
