Objectives and competences
Student will:
1. deeper understanding of the complexity and integration of enterprise system
2. achieve abilities of business system and process measurement, management and improvement,
3. understand and be able to use business system and process optimization tools and technologies,
4. understand continuous improvement systems,
5. gain practical knowledge of testing and using business system and processes improvement techniques and tools.
Content (Syllabus outline)
1. Presentation of the course, selected broader topics for the current academic year and practicum environment (joint meeting, workshop)
2. Preparation of the practicum concepts (individual consultations with tutors)
3. Presentation and approval of the practicum concepts (joint meeting)
4. Individual work (exercises, laboratory work, individual consultations with tutors)
5. Submission of the final results
6. Reviews of the final results
7. Presentation and defense of the final results (joint meeting)
Learning and teaching methods
• Lectures, laboratory work, teamwork, practicum
• Practicum is mainly carried out within the Enterprise Engineering Laboratory, which simulates the actual enterprise
• Use of new technologies (equipment of workplaces in the production process with a collaborative robot, 3D scanner, and 3D printer)
• Students are led by tutors who are habilitated Enterprise Engineering program teachers

Knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
• practice the management and governance of the business system
• practice business process management and governance
• apply methods and techniques for improving the business system
• apply methods and techniques for improving business processes
• select appropriate techniques for managing business systems in practice
• analyse the advantages and disadvantages of different tools for managing business systems in practice
