Objectives and competences

The student will: • know the most important theoretical concepts of talent management; • understand the importance of talent management; • be able to distinguish between human resource development and talent management; • be able to discover talents and distinguish between types of talents; • know the advantages and disadvantages of talent management; • understand the importance and ways of acquiring talent for organizations; • know the role of a strategic approach to talent management; • know the importance of talent evaluation; • know and understand the benefits and costs of talent management; • understand the role of leadership in talent management; • know the importance of talent management for succession in the organization; • know and understand the good and bad practices of talent management in organizations.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

At the end of the course, the students will be able to: • state and describe theoretical concepts of talent management; • recognize the importance of talent management for organizations; • identify the strengths and weaknesses of talent management; • prepare a talent recruitment strategy for organizations; • draw up a talent management strategy in the organization; • distinguish between good and bad talent management practices; • identify talent management challenges.
