Objectives and competences

Student is going to: • know the theoretical team work concepts, • know team leadership, • understand team communication, • understand the team mission, • know the methods of creating teams, • understand team dynamics, • know how to differentiate team and group work, • understand benefits of team work, • know techniques of team creativity.

Content (Syllabus outline)

• the team concept, • development of team, • dynamics and interpersonal relationships in teams, • team management, • roles within a team, • team work, • team image, • virtual teams, • success and failure of teams, • team communication, • dynamic team.

Learning and teaching methods

• lectures, • tutorial, • discussions, • individual work, • group work, • solving e-tasks.

Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding

After successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: • know the principles of formation of teams, • adjust coworkers to joint goal, • list the facts for successful team work, • tell the difference between team and group, • recognize personality characteristics of team members, • recognize good practices of a team work, • recognize characteristics of team leaders.

Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes

development of leadership skils, problem-solving and people-skills (working with individuals and groups in organizations)
