Objectives and competences
- Understanding the basic concepts of sport, sports tourism , sports tourism types and the potential development of sports tourism, organization of sports events, performance sporting events and the links between tourism and sport.
- Knowledge of the current state of development of sports tourism in the world and the situation in Slovenia .
- Understanding the basics concepts of planning and implementation of the content of sports tourism, sports and entertainment for tourists and diversity of sports and recreational activities in tourism.
- Knowledge of the concepts in sports events and their impact on the development of tourism and economy.
- Understanding the methodological approaches to assessing the potential development of certain geographical areas in the context of sports tourism.
- Understanding the context of the inclusion of sport in tourism products of the country, region or city.
