Objectives and competences
• To present the issues of sustainable, green and responsible tourism, trends and development scenarios in national and international context
• Explain the importance of understanding sustainable and un-sustainable examples of tourism development in national and international context
• Present the methods, techniques and processes of knowledge, skills and competencies for planning of sustainable, green and responsible tourism management
• Interpret the importance of modern approaches to management of sustainable, green and responsible tourism.
Content (Syllabus outline)
• Definition of sustainable, green & responsible development and sustainability – basic terminology and meaning.
• Public participation of all sectors in the community, their role, need for co-operation and responsibilities.
• Principles and global best practice of sustainable, green & responsible tourism
• PCM analysis – elements, standards, fundaments and recommendations for planning sistainable, green and responsible torusim.
• SWOT, PEST, PORTER FIVE FORCES tehniques and standards with focus on their applicable use in evaluation of environmental, economical and social elements & their implementation in development of sustainable, green and responsible tourism.
• Green scheme of Slovenian tourism- environmental, social and economic goals, as part of overall Sustainable development, measures and steps for their implementation in Slovenian tourism.
• Principles of partnership and participatory approach in sustainable, green & responsible tourism.
• Indicators for evaluation of sustainable and responsible tourism – basic principles.
• Global good practice and case studies in sustainable, green and responsible tourism.
