- Understand of law, general legal institutes and basic institutions of legal system, knowing of main legal-research methods for security studies.
- Detailed knowledge of criminal legal institutes and criminal sanctions.
NATIONAL SECURITY AND POLICING
- The National Security Policy Process.
- Development analysis of policing in the world, with a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe and substantive differences between the strategies of policing in modern society.
CRIMINOLOGY
- Contemporary criminological theory.
- An overview of Slovene criminological research.
CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION
- Good practices, challenges and failures in criminal investigation, and the evaluation of evidence.
- Serious forms of financial and organised crime, corruption and money laundering.
INFORMATION SECURITY
- Contemporary Information security theory.
- Review of modern Information and Cyber security developments, methods and guidelines by understanding the different types of cybercrime.
