Objectives and competences
To enable students to understand basic principles of state administration (government), public administration, public servant system and protection of legal rights.
After taking the course, students should be able to understand the most important legal principles of functioning of the executive branch.

Learning and teaching methods
The course will consist of lectures, seminars, discussions, case analyses, experiential exercises, individual and group projects, as well as individual consultations with the instructor.
Intended learning outcomes - knowledge and understanding
The course is designed to provide understanding, of major concepts, institutes and principles of the public sector, public administration and administrative law.
Student will understand who public functionaries are and who are public servants are. Student will understand state and local organization in state and local administrative bodies.
Intended learning outcomes - transferable/key skills and other attributes
Through case studies and experiential exercises, the course enables students to develop skills necessary for future work and understanding of modern state and local comunities.
