Objectives and competences
Student will:
• learn about the importance of research in nursing and midwifery care,
• learn about the ethical aspects of research,
• learn the types of research,
• learn how to define a search strategy,
• learn the basics of using digital technology and different information systems in nursing,
• know the basics of eHealth and artificial intelligence and the use of different methods in nursing,
• be able to manage patient health data obtained through different digital technologies,
• understand the role of a nurse in information society.

Student will be able to:
• describe the importance of research in nursing care and explain principles of ethics in the research,
• to define the search strategy for a review of scientific and professional literature,
• search and correctly cite scientific and professional literature,
• find and correctly cite scientific and professional literature,
• explain differences between the qualitative, quantitative and mixed research methodology,
• introduce the importance of the use of digital technology and list the different information systems in nursing,
• describe the basics of eHealth and artificial intelligence in nursing,
• manage the health data generated,
• describe the role of nurses in the contemporary information society.

Prerequisits
A condition for taking the exam is a successful completion of the colloquium.
