Objectives and competences

Students will: • understand the basic terms in the field of organization and management, • understand human resource management role and leadership • understand the importance of human resource management in health and social care institutions • understand the importance of standardisation in nursing care, • understand approaches for ensuring quality and safety in nursing care;

Content (Syllabus outline)

• The organization of nursing care in health and social care institutions. • Fundamentals and functions of management • Leadership styles • Human resource management in nursing care: • Change management • Career development and lifelong learning, • Competence, division of labor and delegation in nursing care. • Process approach of the organization and standards in nursing care. • Total quality management in health care • Quality management in nursing care • Patient safety.
