• understand the connection between theory and practice and selection and application of theory in practice,
• understand philosophy and science of nursing,

Student:
• Interpret development, structure and function of theory.
• Describe, analyse and evaluate nursing theory using a selected model and criteria.
• Use the model for theory description, analysis and evaluation for selected theory.
• Analyse selected concept.
• Explain nursing as a profession and as discipline.
• Explain the science and art of nursing care.

Conditions for fulfilling study obligations:
Active participation in tutorial and project preparation. At least 80 % participation is required at the seminars and tutorials.
